Terms of use

Effective date: October 19, 2026.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms govern your use of the Thriftkeep Chrome extension and this website (together, “Thriftkeep”), operated by Approtic Solutions Private Limited, Hyderabad, Telangana, India (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@schatulle.app. By installing or using Thriftkeep you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Thriftkeep.

Thriftkeep Pro is not sold by us but by Dodo Payments, which acts as the seller (merchant of record). Your purchase, payment, invoices, sales tax, renewal and cancellation of the subscription are additionally governed by the Dodo Payments buyer terms. If these terms and the Dodo Payments terms conflict on those points, the Dodo Payments terms prevail.

2. What Thriftkeep does

Thriftkeep is a tool for recording your own purchases, sales, costs and inventory, viewing profit figures, estimating marketplace fees, comparing your recorded sales with Form 1099-K reporting thresholds, and cropping shipping-label PDFs that you open from your own computer to a 4 × 6 label for printing.

Thriftkeep processes only data you enter or import yourself. It does not retrieve data from Vinted, Poshmark, Depop, eBay, Mercari, Whatnot or any other platform, and it does not read or modify any website. Your data is stored locally in your browser; we operate no cloud storage for it.

3. Prices

Pro costs $7.99 per month or $59 per year, plus any applicable sales tax, which Dodo Payments shows at checkout. The final price displayed in the Dodo Payments checkout is the one that applies. Price changes apply only under the Dodo Payments terms and no earlier than your next billing period.

4. Pro subscription and licence key

After purchase, Dodo Payments emails you a licence key. You enter it in the extension under “Settings & Pro”. The extension checks the key when you enter it and afterwards at most once a day through our licence server. If no check is possible (for example offline), Pro stays active for up to 14 days after the last successful check.

The licence key is for your own use. You may use it in your own browsers and on your own devices; you may not share, sell, publish or transfer it, and you may not attempt to bypass the licence check or the item limit. We may deactivate a key that is shared or misused, or whose payment is reversed or charged back.

The subscription renews automatically under the Dodo Payments terms until it is cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; Pro stays active until then. How to cancel and our refund commitment are described on the cancellation & refunds page.

When Pro ends, all items you have already recorded stay visible and exportable. New items can be added again once the count is below 25 or Pro is active again.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use Thriftkeep only for lawful purposes and only with records and documents you are authorized to process. You must not use Thriftkeep to alter, forge or reuse shipping labels, to ship anything you are not entitled to ship under the label, or to violate a marketplace’s or carrier’s rules. You must not interfere with the licence server, send automated requests to it, or reverse engineer the extension except where the law expressly permits it.

6. Your responsibility and backups

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. Because your data is stored only locally, it can be lost, for example when the extension is removed or browser data is cleared. We recommend regular JSON backups. We cannot restore lost data.

7. Not tax, legal or accounting advice; estimates only

Thriftkeep is guidance, not tax, legal or accounting advice. Threshold meters, profit figures and year summaries are based solely on your entries and simplified rules; they do not replace the forms a platform files, your own tax return or advice from a tax professional. Fee estimates are based on each platform’s published US fee rules as checked on the date shown in the extension and can be outdated or not apply to your situation; you can always change them, and you remain responsible for the figures you use. The exported CSV is a simple list, not an accounting file.

The label cropper produces a PDF from the file you provide. Check every cropped label before you ship: the full barcode, addresses and any carrier markings must be present and legible. We do not guarantee that a label is accepted by a carrier, that a package is delivered, or that the output is compatible with a specific printer; test with a sample first.

8. Availability and changes

The local features work without a connection to our servers. The licence check needs an internet connection; we do not promise uninterrupted availability of the licence server. We may improve and change Thriftkeep as long as the core Pro feature you paid for (no item limit) is preserved during your paid period. We may discontinue Thriftkeep with reasonable notice; in that case your Free features and your locally stored data remain usable for export.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thriftkeep is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so this exclusion may not apply to you in full.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost sales, tax assessments, penalties, undelivered packages or carrier charges arising from your use of Thriftkeep. Our total liability for all claims relating to Thriftkeep is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim or, if you paid nothing, $59. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, for death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Termination

You can stop using Thriftkeep at any time by removing the extension; export your data first. We may suspend or end your access to Pro if you breach these terms, in particular the licence and acceptable-use rules. Sections 7, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws of the state or country where you live, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts. We encourage you to contact us first at support@schatulle.app; most questions can be resolved quickly.

13. Trademarks and independence

Vinted, Poshmark, Depop, eBay, Mercari, Whatnot, USPS, UPS, FedEx and SpeedX are trademarks of their respective owners. Thriftkeep is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of them. Chrome is a trademark of Google LLC.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Thriftkeep or the law changes. The version published here with its effective date applies. Material changes to Pro take effect no earlier than your next billing period; if you do not agree, cancel before then.
